What does this cost?

Nothing. Writing the story, painting the pages, editing them, and downloading the PDF are all included. We built it to learn what people make with it, and it stays that way while we do.

How long does it take?

About four minutes start to finish. The story arrives in a few seconds. Each of the five pages takes about half a minute to paint, then the cover paints while you look through the book.

Do I need a photo?

No. Pick Invent a character and describe anyone you can imagine, real or not. If you do upload a photo, the illustrated hero keeps that person's face and features on every page.

Can I change the story?

Yes, and nothing is painted until you say so. Edit any sentence by hand, or ask for a change in plain words and we rewrite the pages. After painting, tap any page to change what happens in it and repaint just that page.

How do I print it?

Download the PDF. At home, print it on letter or A4 paper, one page per sheet. At a print shop, ask for a saddle-stitch booklet and they fold and staple it into a real little book. Services like Lulu or Blurb will bind a copy and ship it.
